The REALTORS® Land Institute (Institute) is a membership organization and affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®. The Institute was created for and by land experts, dedicated to building knowledge, relationship and business for its members - the extraordinary real estate professionals who broker, lease, sell, develop, and manage our most precious resource - the land.
Members of the Institute focus on land brokerage transaction of specialized types:
1) Farms, ranches, recreational, timberland and other specialty land properties; 2) Undeveloped tracts of land; 3) Transitional and development land; 4) Subdivision and lot wholesaling; 5) Site selection and assemblage of land parcels; 6) Appraisals and land valuation; 7) Auctions; 8) Farm and land management
Organized in 1944 and originally called the Institute of Farm Brokers, the Institute has been dedicated to improving the competence of its members in land brokerage.
The Institute confers the prestigious Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) Designation to those land specialists who complete a rigorous education curriculum and achieve a volume of successful land transactions.
Members of the REALTORS® Land Institute abide by the National Association of REALTORS Code of Ethics.
RLI 2017 Land Market Survey
The Land Markets Survey is conducted annually each fall by the REALTORS® Land Institute and the Research Department of the National Association of REALTORS® as a tool for real estate land professionals in all sectors of the business to use for bench-marking and as an informational resource when conducting business.
The survey is designed to reveal current trends and the current state of land markets across the U.S.
